Spiritual Anatomy

Any 2nd grader has a basic understanding of the human digestive function. Food goes in the mouth, and in simple terms, reaches the tummy. You are no longer hungry. Then later of course is the final function. A masterful system created by God to give us both sustenance and great pleasure. But Jesus speaks of a greater, more enduring, spiritual anatomy. Linking the mouth and the heart. With this contrast He exposes our tendency to perform in our religious life and duties instead of living a Christlike life.
